Dump the Pump
One of the best things about riding the bus is dumping the pump. You dump pollution, dump parking expenses, dump the stressful commute and dump the cost of gasoline. Capital Metro takes care of it all. They'll do the driving so you don't have to. Now you can read, relax or daydream about your next vacation during your commute.
The Texas Four Step.
Check out the four easy steps to get you where you want to go.
Step 1. Plan your trip.
Capital Metro's online trip planner helps you find the right bus and route for you. Google Transit is another easy option to plan your trip. Want route information on the go? Use Dadnab, a text messaging service that plans your trips on Capital Metro. Text Austin@dadnab.com to receive bus and trip information on your wireless phone. For the personal touch, call our Go Line at (512) 474-1200. Our friendly customer service team will be your personal concierge to get you where you need to go.
Step 2. Calculate your commute.
Find out how much money you can save on your daily commute. Try not to laugh wildly and scream "Dump the Pump!" out the window at customers each time you pass a gas station.
Step 3. Buy bus passes online.
It's easy to buy Capital Metro tickets online, including Day passes, Monthly passes or Express passes. You can also purchase them at any HEB location. You can also ride using cold hard cash, but our passes are such a deal. It's yet another way to save money.
Step 4. Download a free bus system map.
Learn more about the destinations your bus routes serve. Capital Metro takes you where you want to go.
