Video Entry (Submit through YouTube)
The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words. A moving picture of you – telling us why you ride Capital Metro – could be worth a brand new iPhone. Here are the guidelines for submitting your video entry:
- Fill out the online entry form. We need your name, email address, phone number and YouTube User ID (see #6 below for YouTube instructions).
- Stick to the subject. Tell us about your experiences with Capital Metro. Consider starting with why you ride the bus and where you go. Maybe you'd like to share a story about interesting people you've met on the bus or things that have happened to you. It's your video, and you're the director – you decide what to showcase and how to make it fun and entertaining.
- Lights, camera, action. Pay attention to details like sufficient lighting, decent sound and camera position. We don't want your great story to be lost because we can't see or hear you. Close-ups are usually more appealing than things shot from faraway. Select interesting locations – that could be your living room, or maybe it's your seat on the bus. Don't have a video camera? Use the video camera on your cell phone if you have one.
- Keep it short. Your video can be up to two minutes long.
- Personalize it. The title of your video entry must include your name. For example, you could call your entry "Bill Smith's i-Ride Video," or maybe you'd prefer "How I Met the Love of My Life by Bill Smith." Your video title, including your name, is limited to 60 characters.
- Submit your entry through YouTube. You must submit your video entry through YouTube according to YouTube Terms of Use and the "Tell Us Your Story" official contest rules. Before you can upload your video, you have to first set up your own YouTube account and join the group "i-Ride Capital Metro Contest." Be sure to include your YouTube User ID on your "Tell Us Your Story" contest entry form. Capital Metro reserves the right to approve all video entries before they're posted on YouTube under the i-Ride Capital Metro Contest group name, so keep in mind that nudity, profanity and other things inappropriate for family viewing will get your video shelved.
